Christian, started out as a 20'' Berenguer play doll, the sleeping sucky lip face. Part of the lower lip is sucked in just a tad more on one side. He was taken apart and painted on the inside and color washed on the outside. After achieving the skin tone I wanted I proceeded to blush him in all the right spots. I spent hours rooting his head with pale blonde mohair. I also rooted his eylashes. They are from the same mohair that I used on his head. Christian recieved his first manicure. His nails have been tipped in white and have been triple sealed.What a sweet and innocent face. Doesn't he just melt your heart? He has 1/4 limbs that have been filled with poly pellets. I have stopped using sand. The sand gets hard after awhile, so I chose not to use it anylonger.The sand added the weight so he is lighter than my past dolls.
I chose not to give Christian a binkie, I have only had one binkie babe and she (13mo) NOW sucks her fingers .
Christian's body is filled with polyfil and polypellets. I was sure NOT to over stuff him so he is cuddly and squishy like a real baby. He wears 0-3 mo clothes and size 0 shoes.
Christian will come home with his romper that can be turned into a gown (for those easy diaper changes) and his blue socks with the doggies on them. Also this blue fleece blanket to swaddle him in so he sleeps better.
